It's Cold Here!

It's been cold here this week. Well, really cold for me. Look what I came home to today! I was pretty surprised, since it was raining at work, but I hadn't seen anything else. So, since I knew it wouldn't last, I thought I'd better get back outside with the camera before it all melted. I can say it's pretty awesome, since I don't have to do any shoveling!

  1. I have 2 feet of the stuff on the ground and at least another month and a half left to go.
I am officially SICK of winter.
PS I actually Love the dirt pictures--I haven't seen it in 4 months!

  2. What a sight for you? How often do you see snow on the ground?

Hey, Sue! We have you beat in the amount of snow on the ground. I think we've still got closer to three feet! Wanna trade?

  3. Becca, Yikes is right!

Sue, I'd be sick of winter if I had to deal with snow too!

Mama Pea, We only get snow about once every 10-15 years. The most I've ever seen here was less than 2", maybe 20 years ago. I would NOT want your 3 feet!

  4. I have heard "La Nina" is causing all this abnormal weather around the world. Like here, drought, not extreme, but some reservoirs are under 50% of its capacity. We should have had at least 5-6 cyclones by now and lots of rain, but so far only two cyclones have been named, and we got rain from one of them only. Snow your side must be quite exotic! :)

  6. Astrid, we're above normal for our rainfall this season. I'd been working in the garden for a few weeks, and since this storm came in, it's waaaay too soggy out there to do anything. :(

ONG, Hey, thanks for stopping by! Glad to have you. Snow's pretty cool when I want to go get cold and play, maybe make a snowman. But I want to get into the car and drive to do that. What can I say, I'm a pansy!! I like living here.

  8. Lena, Hubby and I were just talking this morning that some people are still shoveling snow, and we are trying to figure out how we can start planting in January instead of February! We're spoiled in the winter.
